This way, the user can use the discount code directly, without feeling the "Subscribe" pressure, which is often associated with spam emails.
The hypothesis is that in the case of conditioning the user by asking for the email address to send the discount code, too many steps intervene such as:
Pressure of the visitor to provide the email address
Filling out a form
Navigating to the email to receive the code (which implicitly involves waiting for the email, which doesn't always arrive instantly in the inbox). Sometimes it doesn't even arrive in the inbox.
The user must return to the previous page of the shop (Product Page, Cart or Checkout) to enter the discount code. Bonus: There is no guarantee that the user who opted for this discount code will use it immediately.
All these steps add too much Cognitive Load for no apparent reason.
By displaying the discount code by default, you will give the user the opportunity to quickly advance to checkout.
